Winding machine slub catchers automatically adjustable to same yarn passage width.. Comprise fixed and movable blocks with yarn passages between them. Passage width is adjusted by flexing metal strips secured to the moveable blocks. Flexing is effected by turning screws in contact with the strips. Simultaneous adjustment of the slub catchers can be achieved by rotating a screw mechanically connected to each of the adjusting screws. Stationary winding units can have a common cam shaft for slub catcher adjustment. On a travelling winder slub catchers are set sequentially by means of an adjustable cam set in the patch along which the winding units move. Adjustment devices can be calibrated to set slub catcher passage widths exactly. |
