The invention comprises dyestuffs of the formula <FORM:1063750/C4-C5/1> where P is a copper- or nickel-phthalocyanine dyestuff; Y is OH and/or -NR1R2; R1 and R2 are H, alkyl, alkenyl or alkinyl and may be substituted, and if R1 is H, R2 may also be SO2R3 where R3 is alkyl or aryl and may be substituted; Z is a 5- or 6-membered heterocyclic ring having at least one mobile substituent, or a group containing such a ring, so that the heterocycle is linked to the -SO2NHO2S- group either directly or via a bridge member, or Z is an aliphatic or araliphatic radical with at least one reactive substituent; m is 1-7; n is 1-4 and m + n is not more than 8. The compounds are prepared by reacting compounds of the formula (YO2S)m-P-(SO2NH2)n and Z-SO2 hal where hal is a halogen, or by reacting a copper- or nickel-phthalocyanine sulphonic acid halide with a compound of the formula Z-SO2NH2. If the dyestuff contains a plurality of reactive substituents, it may be subjected to further reactions whilst ensuring that at least one reactive substituent remains present.
