producing lactic acid bacteria drugs for oral use which comprises culturing lactic acid bacteria highly resistant to common medically used antibiotics in a suitable medium, adding sterilized starch to the bacterial suspension, isolating the starch on which the bacteria are adsorbed, adding further dry starch to form a dust, and filling gelatin capsules with the dust, the capsules being coated with an intestine-soluble film. The lactic acid bacteria drugs prepared and formulated as above are resistant to common antibiotics and can reach the intestine without being influenced by gastric juice in the stomach. They are used in the treatment of diarrhoea.
