PURPOSE: To automatically execute both testing and cleaning of a sheath of an endoscope and a duct in the sheath. CONSTITUTION: Respective lines 48, 50 are connected to the sheath and the duct of the endoscope stored in a cage 18 by an automatic connector 17. Outer surface of the sheath is cleaned by a cleaning liquid from a spray arm 19 and further the cleaning liquid is flowed into the duct from a pump 26 via each line 50 to clean inside of the duct. Then, a valve 56 is closed and air pressure pulse is introduced into the duct from the each line 50 to enhance cleaning effect. During cleaning, air pressure is applied in the sheath via a line 48 and presence or absence of air leakage in the sheath is inspected by pressure switches 46, 47. Further, air is supplied to each duct from an air valve 76 via each line before and after cleaning of the ducts and whether or not clogging is generated in the duct is inspected by a flow switch 60. |
