An automatic search receiver with two or more receiving chains and an automatic switch- over device in which the receiver producing the best signal from a given transmission is maintained in operation, each receiver having an automatic search facility and the changeover switching being controlled by HF level comparators and modulation comparators as in the main patent is simplified. For the two receiving chains a single unit (E) has electronic switches (I, II, III) operating periodically to change frequency of reception at a frequency which is sufficiently high as not to influence the demodulated signal. Two separate oscillators (01, 02) and an H.F. stage are switched to feed a common IF stage (M), with the output switched to the modulation comparator (S). |
