The lock-out uses a relay arrangement but no details are given. In Fig. 2, two groups G51, G52 and G61, G62 have a respective lock-out arrangement PV11 and PV21 that is connected to a processor Ul via selector switch S1. Additional lock-out arrangements PV12 and PV22 are similarly connected to an alternative processor U2. Processing for both groups can thus take place simultaneously but, in the event of fault, either processor can take over and will then be connected to the lock-out arrangements PV11 and PV21 or PV12 and PV22 alternately.
