Patterned parts for clothing, e.g. the front and rear sections for lounge jackets, are cut to size by an inexpensive cutter arrangement employing two or more shaped unitary cutters pointing towards each other. The appropriate pattern is cut in several stages, first by placing unitary cutters onto two patterns which do not adjoin each other on the upper layer of fabric and then performing the first punching operation. After this, additional unitary blades are applied in accordance with the pattern not yet cut out. Finally the next cutting operation is performed. |
