False twist spindle speed control

Twist tube speed control within narrow limits is used to compensate its velocity variation due to wear in the drive parts, and thus for ensuring uniform results in the flase twist process. - This is achieved with change of drive pulley pressure causing a controllable slip, although suction or magnetic force alterations may also be used. The control of magnetic pull is carried out with the aid of a variable magnetic shunt.
