<p>Method for applying a very fine electrical wire onto an intermediate carrier foil for the heating of glass or plastic sheets consists of laying near parallel lengths of wire on the foil, followed by heating the foil and/or wire when a rolling process is applied to the assembly which is supported by a support plate with surface irregularities such as ribs, nap, ripples etc. The process results in the wire occupying different vertical positions in the foil. On assembly of the laminate, no diffraction patterns are generated on glass sheeting as result of uneven wire distribution. It is used for heated motor car wind-screen manufacture.</p> |
