Reformer temperatures lie in the range 800‹ to 1700‹ F. and the oxide is regenerated with air, e.g. in a fluidized bed 32, solids, fly ash, and tars having been separated at 22, 24 from the producer gas. The method is applicable to a refinery where coal is catalytically hydrogenated to make gasoline, the required hydrogen being obtained from the refinery gas by the above method. |
