PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide low pressure double glazing which is greatly improved in thermal insulation performance and a process for producing the same. SOLUTION: This low pressure double glazing is formed with a low-pressure space by parting two sheets of the sheet glass at a prescribed spacing, disposing a dotty, wire-shaped or net-like spacer holding this spacing and hermetically sealing the peripheral marginal end of this panel by low melting solder glass. In such a case, a zinc oxide layer having a film thickness of 10 to 50 nm and contg. aluminum, a silver or palladium-contg. silver layer having a film thickness of 5 to 200 nm, a zinc layer or aluminum-contg. zinc layer having a film thickness of 1 to 5 nm, a zinc oxide layer having a film thickness of 50 to 90 nm and contg. the aluminum and a tin oxide layer having a film thickness of 1 to 10 nm and contg. silicon are successively laminated on the inside surface of at least the one sheet glass of a pair of two sheets of the sheet glass 2, 3.
