The liner, especially for collapsible prefabricated tanks, consists of several layers which are welded or stitched into quilt sections filled with a soft voluminous material such as polyurethane foam. The seams on the various layers are staggered to maintain the sealing qualities of the liner even if it were to become damaged at separate points.
