<p>1356149 Weakly foaming detergent compositions HENKEL & CIE GmbH 6 Oct 1971 [7 Oct 1970] 46739/71 Heading C5D A weakly foaming detergent composition comprises one or more non ionic polyglycol ether surfactants, one or more inorganic and/or organic builders and 0À1 to 10% wt. of a foaminhibiting mixture consisting of (A) 1 part by wt. of an ester of a C10-C24 unsaturated or saturated fatty acid with a C10-C24 unsaturated or saturated fatty alcohol; (B) 0À3 to 3 parts by wt. of a branched chain alcohol or its polyglycol ether of formula wherein R is C10-C24 sat. or unsat. straight chain hyrocarbon residue, R<SP>1</SP> is C8-C22 sat. or unsat. straight chain hydrocarbon residue, X and Y are H or one is H and the other is CH 3 or C 2 H 5 and n is 0 to 100; and optionally (c) up to 1 part of an ester of formula in which R and R<SP>1</SP> have the above meanings. Up to 50% by wt. of (B) may be replaced by (D) a dimeric dihydric alcohol or its polygycolether of formula wherein R 1 , R<SP>1</SP>, X, Y and n have the above meanings. The polyglycol ethers of (B) and (D) preferred are those in which X and Y are H and n is 1 to 80.</p> |
