The pincers are for installing wire staple binders e.g. fastening chain link fence panels to a wire stringer and can be used with staples of the 'U' or curved 'W' shape. The opposed jaws (3) incorporate grooves (19, 21) which locate the curved sectors of the staple forms, and comprise an upper concavely curved length (21) with a lower inclined length (19). The tangent to the curved length subtends an obtuse angle (23) with the inclined length. A greater depth of groove may be provided in the curved jaw length (21), and these lengths may be relatively narrow with edge lips defining the grooves. When viewed in the plane normal to their motion, the jaws (3) are counter inclined so that the tips locate side by side at closure.
|
