PURPOSE:To efficiently prevent the infiltration of washing water into a resin case in washing at the time of mounting of a surface packaging type which is directly mountable on the mounting part of an electronic apparatus. CONSTITUTION:This piezoelectric buzzer is constituted by using the resin case 1 which internally has a recessed part 1a and is formed with a step part 1b on the inner periphery of this recessed part and a sound producing body 3 which is formed by sticking a piezoelectric element 3b having electrodes 3a on both main surfaces in the state of placing the element on the one main surface of a metallic diaphragm 3c. The peripheral edge of the other main surface of this metallic diaphragm 3c is fixed in the state of placing this part on the step part 1b, by which the inside of the resin case 1 is divided to a front air chamber 5 and a rear air chamber 6 with the sound producing body 3 as a boundary. A sound emitting hole 1e communicating with the front air chamber 5 is through-holed the wall surface with form the recessed part 1a of the resin case 1. An air hole 1f communicating with the rear air chamber 6 is formed on the surface formed with this sound emitting hole 1e and a pair of external electrodes 7, 8 connected to the piezoelectric ceramic element 3b and the metallic diaphragm 3c, respectively, are formed on the wall surface of the resin case 1. |
