PURPOSE:To allow detection of the fact that a synchronous generator is isolated during system interconnection and operates independently, easily through a simple apparatus without requiring any transmission facility, e.g. a dedicated interruption signal line. CONSTITUTION:A synchronous generator 26 installed on the consumer 20 side is provided with an instrument transformer 42 as an exciter, an instrument current transformer 46, an automatic voltage regulator 52, and an exciting thyristor and an isolated operation detector 48 is also installed through a frequency converter 38 and a reactive power converter 44. Loads 34, 30 on the consumer side are balanced with the synchronous generator to prevent no-power flow state on the commercial system 10 side and the consumer side and a reactive power variation signal 50 is imparted periodically to the set value of a voltage setter (not shown) for the automatic voltage regulator from the operation detector 48 thus sustaining the power flow constantly. The operation detector monitors the difference between the frequency at a system interconnection or the synchronous generator obtained through the frequency converter and a reference frequency and decides the operation when the difference exceeds a predetermined value. |
