A flower stalk holder (1) is made of plastics and has a pneumatic attachment, such as a suction cap, which holds it onto the bottom of a vase or bowl. The holder (1) has several groups of spikes (3) arranged in a cross-shape. Between the outermost groups of spikes are fixtures (6) each of which has several, varying diameters. Alternatively, the flower holder (1) can be in the form of a dome with holes in, and a groove. A central hole (10) tapers inwards. The hole is plugged by an insertion piece with a point, and threading.
