The pump impeller in the pump casing is mounted directly on the motor shaft. The motor stator (12) is partly or totally enclosed in a plastics casing(9) provided with a flange (14) for the pump casing (1), in which the pump side rotor shaft (3) bearing (5) and a pump seal (7) are provided. The flange forms at the same time the bottom of the pump chamber (15). Preferably, the plastics casing is filled with a substance increasing its thermal conductivity. The casing may have a leakage water passage formed by injection moulding.
