The horn remover is for beef cattle in the slaughterhouse. It consists of a pair of hydraulically movable jaws which can be turned in one plane and to which cutting blades are fixed. The cutting blades (10, 11) are so fixed transversely to one end of the jaws (4, 5) that the plane of the cutting blades form an acute angle (8) with the plane of the jaws on one side of the jaw plane and an obtuse angle (15) on the other side. There is a positioning hook (12) fixed vertically on one of the cutting blades for positioning and applying the device. At its free end this hook projects beyond the cutting edge (13).
