PURPOSE:To eliminate ground fog phenomena and obtain the even images of high resolving power by providing a light emitting means and a photo detecting means between a scraper and thickness defining means and detecting the reflected light from a developer support means. CONSTITUTION:A scraper 11 composed of elastic material for removing the deposited fine powder toner from sleeve surface is disposed in the sleeve axis direction with an inclination in the direction opposite from the sleeve rotating direction. A residual amount detecting part 8 is provided between the scraper 11 and toner thickness defining blade 4. This residual amount detecting part 8 consists of a radiation lamp 21, slit 22 and photo detector 23. The radiation lamp 21 is held lighted at all times by the power source in the copying machine to radiate the surface of the sleeve 2. The output thereof is fed back to the display part. Thereby, the even toner images of high resolving power may be obtained in the image part. |
