The invention relates to a container with an upright plastic wall and a lid. A tube forming the wall (12) has, near to its upper open end, a recess (16) which extends over its circumference. A corresponding projection (18) is provided in the downwardly projecting edge (17) of a lid (13) so that the latter can be fitted onto the tube (12), the projection (18) coming into engagement with the recess (16). A bottom (11) can be inserted at the other end of the tube, likewise by a snap-in operation. <IMAGE>
