<p>The remote controlled aircraft (1), which takes off from and lands on a landing platform which may be on a carrier vessel, uses rocket assistance as well as the normal power unit (3) on top. The aircraft incorporates a fire extinguishing system which discharges downwards. The fire extinguishing substance is discharged from delivery tubes (4) which can be on either side of the centre line of the aircraft and which slope backwards towards the rear. The fire extinguishant is discharged at a speed approximating that of the aircraft. The rocket drive (2) is under the tail of the aircraft. PS.</p>
