THERMOMAGNETIC RECORDING HEAD

PURPOSE:To provide a small and inexpensive head appropriate for a magnetic latent image recording using a thermomagnetic material by laminating an electric insulation layer and a magnetized slit magnetic body sequentially on a resistance heat generating body connected to an electrode on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:A heat resistant and electrically insulating protective layer 4 is provided on a resistance heat generating body 3 and electrodes 2a and 2b provided on a substrate 1. A split magnetic body 5 is laminated at the position corresponding to a heat generating part of the resistance heat generating body 3 on a protective layer 4. A second protective layer 6 is preferably provided on the split magnetic body, which is magnetized. The pattern of the magnetization is preferably such that ensures the generation of a magnetic field necessary for the magnetization of a thermomagnetic material layer in a thermomagnetic recording.
