PURPOSE:To provide a low-priced and miniaturized image synthesizing means by providing an intermediate transfer belt and overlapping formed images based on the plural kinds of image information read out of plural originals on the intermediate transfer belt. CONSTITUTION:An intermediate transfer belt 216 is provided to temporarily transfer the images formed on a photosensitive drum 214, and the formed images based on the plural kinds of image information read out of the plural originals are synthesized on the intermediate transfer belt 216. Namely, when the formed toner images on the photosensitive drum 214 arrive at the counter position of a primary transfer frame corotron 217 with the counter-clock-wise rotation of the photosensitive drum 214, the corona transfer of those images is performed onto the intermediate transfer belt 216 driven at synchronous speed while contacting with the photosensitive drum 214. When forming the next magenta latent image, a synchronizing signal is sent to an image input device 1 so as to overlap the images without shifting them and afterwards, the magenta image is similarly transferred onto the cyan image on the intermediate transfer belt 216. |
