Surgical forceps for bipolar coagulation having plastic gripping dishes

In a forceps for bipolar coagulation having metallic legs, handling can be markedly improved by application of plastic gripping dishes provided with a profile which can be designed in various ways. Projections for fastening of the gripping dishes which may project beyond the inner sides of the legs of the forceps may at the same time be used as spacers between the legs of the forceps. Suitable choice of the plastic permits repeated sterilisation of the forceps in an autoclave.
