Bearing for a carrying handle on a container

For simple handling of containers, such as buckets, the latter are fitted with a hinged carrying handle. The carrying forces are transmitted to the bearing points of the carrying handle on the container. Said bearing points are therefore highly loaded and constitute the critical points on the container. An easily producible carrying-handle bearing is therefore to be provided, which allows a distributed transmission of force and which also makes the edge of the container more suitable for handling. This object is achieved in that a peripheral rolled rim (3), which is closed on itself and is rounded outwards, is provided on the rim of the container (1), in which rolled rim the bearing openings (4) are arranged, into which the reinforcements (2') of the carrying handle (2) are introduced and are held in a self-locking manner at least in the carrying position. <IMAGE>
