The space cannon consists of a permanently installed barrel which is several hundred metres long, is straight, points upwards and in which space vehicles can be accelerated with the aid of known fuels and means to such an extent that they reach their space orbit without having to carry vast quantities of fuel with them. In the most favourable case, only the payload is conveyed. Space travel is thus simplified and made cheaper.
