<p>PURPOSE:To provide a valve having a simple mechanism and responding at high speed by providing a first piezoelectric element that generates a charge according to change in hydraulic pressure and a second piezoelectric element electrically connected to the first piezoelectric element, and connecting the second piezoelectric element to a relief valve. CONSTITUTION:Water in a pipe line A applies constant primary pressure to a piezoelectric element 1 and a relief valve 7 covers a through hole 8 formed in the side wall of the pipe line A, blocking the through hole 8. Under these conditions, if a faucet is closed and hydraulic pressure in the pipe line A is built up, the hydraulic pressure applied to the first piezoelectric element 1 also builds up, and the first piezoelectric element 1 is distorted in proportion to the buildup of the hydraulic pressure applied thereto, generating a charge that is proportional to the distortion; the charge is supplied to a second piezoelectric element 2 via a lead wire 3 and the second piezoelectric element 2 is distorted, and the relief valve 7 is moved by means of a piston 5 connected to the second piezoelectric element 2; the through hole 8 is therefore opened and water in the pipe line A leaks out of the pipe line A and the hydraulic pressure in the pipe line A decreases accordingly.</p> |
