NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I (R<1> is H or lower alkyl; R<2> is lower alkyl or lower alkenyl; R<3> is lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, phenyl or phenoxy; X is H, Cl, Br or nitro, provided that X is the above-mentioned groups other than H when R<1> is H; Y is O or S). EXAMPLE:2-Ethyl-3-isopropyl-4-methyl-4H-1,3,2-benzoxazaphosphorinethione. USE:An insecticide. PREPARATION:For example, the corresponding phenolic derivative expressed by formula II is reacted with an amine compound expressed by the formula R<2>NH2 to synthesize a compound expressed by formula III, which is then re duced to afford a compound expressed by formula IV. The resultant compound expressed by formula IV is then reacted with a compound expressed by formula V.
