PURPOSE:To obtain positive taking out of sheet materials in a simple structure by pushing a sheet material from an end toward a fixed portion so as to form an upwardly curved portion, piercing the curved portion with a needle to project the end beyond lower ends, and gripping and drawing out the projected end. CONSTITUTION:While pressed by a presser 5, an uppermost sheet material 1 is pushed at an end thereof by a deflecting resilient plate 6 to form a curved portion 1a. At this time, a vacuum chuck 10 adsorbs an end of a veneer 8. After a needle is moved to piece the curved portion 1a, a lifting table 4 is lifted, and the needle 2 is moved toward the end portion, causing the end of the sheet material 1 to be held between pinch rollers 11 and then to be fed into a moving chuck 17. The moving chuck 17 moves the sheet material 1 into a case 9 in which the sheet material 1 is released, and grips the veneer 8 to move the same into the case 9, thereby laminating sheet materials 1 and veneers 8 alternately.
