This trailer control valve 1 is fitted, not only with a combined intake and exhaust valve 7 intended to monitor the braking behaviour of the trailer, but also with an advance pressure relay valve 17 which is arranged coaxially in the control piston 3 of the trailer control valve 1. With the advance relay valve 17 an advance in the braking of the trailer is obtained which, after establishing the advance pressure, remains maintained over the entire change in pressure. <IMAGE>
