Roadway-support machine with integrated drilling arm

For work in roadway driving in underground mining and tunnelling, a roadway-support machine is provided, in the heavy-load beam or frame supporting structure of which a drilling apparatus is integrated in such a way that it does not constitute an obstruction during the support work and other auxiliary work but on the other hand can be operated during the drilling work in such a way that a disadvantageous drilling shadow is not a hindrance. The drilling apparatus with its drilling arm is put centrally into the frame supporting structure and has a drill carriage which is movable on the longitudinal girders, specifically between the boom arms which carry the support-setting device and the working platform. The drill carriage with the drilling apparatus thereby reaches so far forward that these individual parts of the working platform and support-setting device no longer constitute an obstruction during drilling operation. In addition, the working platform can be retracted in the longitudinal direction of the roadway so that it cannot hinder the swivelling and rotating of the drilling arm and the other parts of the drilling apparatus. <IMAGE>
