PURPOSE:To obtain a good surface characteristic and film thickness by using a specific coating solvent to adjust the concn. of a coating liquid and pulling up a substrate at a specific coating speed. CONSTITUTION:The substrate is immersed in the coating liquid adjusted to 0.1-10% concn. of a non-volatile component by using a solvent having >=1.5mmHg vapor pressure at 20 deg.C as the coating solvent and is pulled up at 1.3-25cm/min coating speed, by which a recording layer is formed. The coating liquid is thereby adjusted in viscosity by the non-volatile component contained therein and the recording layer consisting of the coated film having 0.03-0.7mu film thickness is formed on the substrate by the synergistic effect of the evaporation rate of said coating solvent and the pull up coating speed without generating sagging.
