PURPOSE:To record a target broadcasting program even if the time of the broadcasting is shifted due to broadcasting program alteration by providing a detection means to detect the schedule alteration and a control means to control the recording of television broadcasting signals based on output signals from said detection means. CONSTITUTION:The recording control part 14 is monitoring the output of the alteration signal detection part 13. In case a recording date and time set in a recording setting part 12 and the date-time data of a calendar time part 15 coincide with each other and schedule alteration signal (c) is being outputted by the detection part 13, a video tape recorder part 11 and a super inposing generation part 16 are controlled. Thus the video tape recorder part 11 is let record a prescribed schedule alteration message from the generation part 16 for a prescribed time (t) as shown in figure (b). Then the part 11 is returned to its original waiting status as long as the schedule alteration signals shown in figure (c) are supplied. At the time when said signals case, the recording control part 14 controls the video tape recorder part 11 to make it in an automatic image recording state for absence.
