PURPOSE:To obtain a waterproof film, having excellent feeling and mechanical strength as well as remarkably improved moisture permeability and capable of providing thin films at a low cost, by blending a polyurethane resin with a compatible water absorbing resin. CONSTITUTION:A nonporous waterproof film, consisting essentially of a polyurethane resin, obtained by blending 5-30wt.% water absorbing resin with the above-mentioned polyurethane resin and having 3-100mu thickness. A polyethylene oxide based resin is used as the water absorbing resin. A polyurethane resin prepared by using a polyether based polyol as a long-chain polyol is preferred as the polyurethane resin.
