PURPOSE:To improve the operability of the titled device especially at the time of mounting a telephoto lens by inhibiting searching operation even if an object is turned to a low contrast state after reaching focus detecting result to a focus or near the focus. CONSTITUTION:Since the searching operation normally drives a photographing lens one reciprocation from a close range end up to an infinite end on a distance ring, comparatively long time from the immediate start of the searching operation after turning the object to a low contrast state when the object is shifted from a range finding frame in a finder by hand vibration or the like up to focusing is required. Thereby, a microcomputer PRS inhibits searching operation even if the object is turned to the low contrast state after reaching a focus detecting result based upon a sensor device SNS to a focus or near the focus. Consequently, the focusing operation improving the operability especially at the time of mounting a telephoto lens can be attained. |
