发明名称 FRICTION PAD SUPPORTING MECHANISM FOR DISC BRAKE
摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent a friction pad from falling down along the rotor-axial direction so as to prevent uneven wear by forming on a support, locking portions, which engagingly support each of the inner/outer circumferences of the friction pad in the rotor-axial direction. CONSTITUTION:Engaging step portions 17, 18 are formed on the back plate 15 of a friction pad 14 at both lower end portions, and then, in the same way as an outer bridge portion, an opening 21 is formed on an inner bridge portion 10 in such a way as to substantially conform to the external shape of the friction pad 14. On both sides of the lower edge portions of the opening 21, there are formed first locking step portions 23, 24 which engage with engaging step portions 17, 18, while on both upper edges thereof, there are formed second locking step portions 25, 26 which abut to the shoulder portions 19, 20 of the back plate 15 so as to control the lateral and vertical movement of the friction pad 14. The second locking step portions 25, 26 are provided on a line which passes through the pushing center 0 of a piston 13 as well as crosses perpendicularly a line connecting the same to the rotation center of a disk rotor. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the friction pad 14 from falling down along the rotor-axial direction so as to prevent uneven wear.
