PURPOSE:To obtain a superconductor magnet using an oxide superconductor having superconductivity at a high temperature by mounting the solenoidal oxide superconductor as an electric conductor. CONSTITUTION:A molding die in specified size is filled with the powder of, a desired oxide such as (YBa)Cu3O7, and the powder is compression-molded by hydrostatic pressing, a hot press or hot hydrostatic pressing. Oxide powder molded to specified shape and size is sintered at a temperature such as 800-900 deg.C. A sintered body impregnated with a metal is ground or cut and desired dimensional accuracy is obtained, thus manufacturing an annular body (an oxide superconductor) 6. Each annular body 6 is laminated through insulating sheets 7, thus forming a solenoid consisting of the oxide superconductors. Current leads 4 are connected to the solenoid 3, and housed into a supporter 5 composed of a ceramic or stainless steel, and the solenoid is impregnated with glass for reinforcement and unified, thus completing a superconductor magnet. |
