The invention relates to a fastening element (5) for fixing a cover moulding and a panel unit, e.g. an additional glazing pane in an existing window structure. The element (5) includes a bearing or support surface (15) for directly or indirectly supporting the additional pane (18), a retaining and clamping surface (11) for retaining the pane (18) and fixing means (12, 13) for the cover moulding (14). The support surface (15) is the upper side of a part (4) of the comparatively thin element, one end portion (9) of the part (4) terminating in an upstanding, transverse portion (10) including the retaining and clamping surface (11), said portion (10) being joined to a part (12) provided with hook means (13) such that this part (12) and the hook means constitute fixing means for the cover moulding. |
