CIRCUIT FOR CALCULATING THE DEGREE OF VALIDITY OF INPUT TO MENBERSHIP FUNCTION

For the fuzzy application system, the circuit calculates a degree value of membership according to the input data applied to the membership function. The absolute value expression module (10) outputs an absolute value of difference between a center value (Cn) of MF and the input data of the membership function. A comparator (20) compares the output value (B) of (10) with a width value (A) of MF. The logic circuits of an output value selection module (30) and a membership degree evaluation module (40) calculate the degree of membership by using the type data of MF, the output value (B) of (10).
