PURPOSE:To obtain a calcium phosphate-based self-hardenable compsn. or cement ensuring high mechanical strength and excellent in affinity to a living body and to shorten the time required to harden the compsn. or cement. CONSTITUTION:This calcium phosphate-based self-hardenable compsn. consists of powder consisting of tetracalcium phosphate and calcium hydrogenphosphate anhydride or calcium hydrogenphosphate dihydrate in such a blending ratio as to form hydroxyapatite by a hydration hardening reaction, a dil.aq. phosphoric acid soln. and magnesium fluoride.
