<p>Device for holding in place and compression of fractured bone fragments. The subject of the invention is an osteosynthesis device consisting of a screw with a tapered or conical point. Said screw's body (4) includes, at its distal end, an outer thread (5). The device is characterized in that the screw head (6) consists of folding strips (7) integral with the body and in that the screw includes means for folding the strips. The invention is for use especially in the treatment of scaphoid and internal malleolar fractures, Garden fractures 1 and 2 of the thigh bone neck, pertrochanteric fractures of the thigh bone and, generally, fractures of small bones, and also in positioning hip or shoulder stops.</p> |
