PURPOSE:To artificially supply a substitute for live maggot bait, having excellent preservability and effective for keeping the bait-selection interest similar to the case of using live maggot baits. CONSTITUTION:This artificial maggot bait having excellent preservabllity and keeping a feeding rate comparable to live bait is produced by grinding a live maggot bait or reconstituting the dried powder of live maggot bait with water and forming in the form of a maggot bait using a binder for food. Important factors of the biting of a fish to a bait are smell, light and motion of a maggot bait, wherein the motion of the maggot bait can be imitated to an extent by the manipulation of a fishing rod. This artificial maggot bait is usable as a substitute for a live maggot bait because the functions of the smell component and the fluorescent component of the maggot bait are retained by using a ground live maggot bait or its dried powder. |
