PURPOSE:To provide a catalyst for purification of exhaust gas with which nitrogen oxide can be highly efficiently removed even when the concn. of oxygen in the exhaust gas is high, and with high heat resistance and durability. CONSTITUTION:The catalyst for purification of exhaust gas is constituted of a porous catalyst carrier wherein its skeletal structure is formed by incorporating AlO2, PO2 or additionally MO2 (wherein M is an element selected from among Si, Co, Mg, Zn, Mn, Be, Fe and Ti) (practically silicoaluminophosphate, metaloaluminophosphate or aluminophosphate) carrying a copper component as a main catalyst and at least one elemental component selected from among boron, phosphorus, antimony and bismuth as a promotor. |
