PURPOSE:To provide a method and device for reproducing the clapping sound of a KARAOKE (accompaniment to recorded music) device which generate the clapping sound from a speaker at the time of a punctuation or the end of a song. CONSTITUTION:When the state that a luminance ratio of the words character in the present words position displayed on a monitor television 1 to the background picture exceeds a prescribed value continues for a prescribed time, the clapping sound is read out and is emitted from a speaker 10 for a prescribed time. This device is provided with a luminance calculating circuit 3 which detects the luminance ratio of the words character in the present words position displayed on the monitor television 1 to the background picture, a reference luminance data output circuit 6 which reads out the clapping sound from a tape recorder 7 to send it to the speaker 10 at the time when the state of the excess of the luminance ratio over the prescribed value continues for the prescribed time, and a comparing circuit 5. Thus, the clapping sound is generated in a proper position like a punctuation or the end of the song to uplift the atmosphere of the song. |
