DOCUMENT PREPARING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To generate plotting data which directly corresponds to character data by displaying plotting data generated by means of converting an input coordinate by a pointing device operation into a coordinate position on a generated document on the generated document. CONSTITUTION:A microprocessor (CPU) 11 accesses to RAM 12 storing the coordinate position of plotting data and ROM 13 storing the generation/ elimination routine of plotting data and executes a document preparation processing and the like. A display controller 20 controls display while display data is developed in a bit map form by using VRAM 21 under the control of CPU 11. When the pointing operation of a stylus pen 17 is executed in a tablet input part 16 on a liquid crystal panel 19, the input coordinate is immediately converted into the coordinate position on the prepared document, generates plotting data, develops generated plotting data on VRAM 21 and displays it on the liquid crystal panel 19. Thus, plotting data of an illustration and the like can easily be generated without restricting a plotting position and the like.
