The half-shells (5,6) hinge in relation to each other on a common axis (x-x) parallel to the plane of the filler opening (19) in the container. They swing between upper and lower end positions, and are of different diameters. At each end position, the larger-diameter one (5) encloses the smaller-diameter one (6) almost if not completely. They can be of cylindrical or polygonal-prismatic shape, and their end faces can be flat, or convex-curved towards the outside. Alternatively, the shells can be spherical, and they can be mounted in a frame enclosing the filler opening.
