A process for the recovery of energetic components (I) from plastic-bonded propellants and explosives (II) comprises decomposition at 0-500 (pref. 2-50) bar and 80-250 (pref. 100-190) deg C for 5 mins. to 5 hrs. with an aq. solvolytic agent contg. various additives.
