摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency (derivation efficiency, coupling efficiency) in a relatively simple process without inviting quality deterioration in a single photon generation device, a single photon detection device, and a light quantum gate. <P>SOLUTION: The single photon generation device includes a solid substrate 1 composed of a base 1A and a pillar 1B formed on the surface side of the base 1A with a local level existent in the vicinity of a tip end thereof. The pillar 1B is formed such that its cross section on the side of the base 1A is larger than the tip end side. Consequently, light generated from the local level is reflected on the surface of the pillar 1B, propagates the inside of the pillar 1B, and exits from a rear surface side of the base 1A. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
