PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect fragile fiberglass against the worn damage of an inner porous tube throughout both operation modes involving a severely pulsating flow, and easily commercialize an assembled product, regarding a muffler formed to flow a coolant inside and laid in a flow passage involving a severely pulsating flow. SOLUTION: A muffler 10 including packings 24-1 and 24-2 made of fiber glass is assembled. Also, the occurrence of a broken fiber glass piece is avoided and the ingress of the broken piece into a running fluid is prevented. The suitability of the muffler 10 for use with a closed cooling device is thereby ensured. In this case, as heat resistant cloth cover 22, the packings 24-1 and 24-2 of fiber glass, and a collapsible cylinder 30 inserted in the tubular body 12-1 of a pressure vessel 12 like a half-finished product and formed to be adjustable peripherally are sequentially stacked and superposed on a porous tube 20. |
